The EVFD exists to serve the citizens within our district, but our ability to serve depends upon the amount of support we receive from the community. The EVFD relies on the annual dues contribution of each family and business within our district to cover all operating expenses. This contribution is a tax deductible donation.
Ellerslie is a rapidly growing community and the EVFD does more than just fight an occasional fire. The EVFD provides local emergency assistance by:
- Removing downed trees after storms to clear roadways
- Assisting with clearing auto accidents from roadways
- Directing traffic at accident sites
- Responding with ambulance services to assist with First-Aid and CPR
- Aiding search parties to find missing persons.
